The amount of the funds validation varies depending on the APOP and is determined by the retailer operating that location.

The purpose of the funds validation is to verify that the selected payment method is valid and can be used to complete a purchase. This validation is temporary and is automatically released once the transaction is completed.

Typical Validation Amounts

United States

Funds validations commonly range between:

  • $2 USD

  • $5 USD

  • $10 USD

  • $25 USD

Argentina

Funds validations commonly range between:

  • ARS $500

  • ARS $2,000

  • ARS $5,000

  • ARS $10,000

The exact amount may vary depending on the products available in the APOP and the retailer's configuration.

Important

The funds validation is not the final charge for your purchase. It is a temporary authorization that is completely separate from the amount charged for the products you select.

Once your transaction is completed, the validation is automatically released, and only the value of the products removed from the APOP will be charged.

The release of the validation is processed automatically by our system, although the time it takes to appear in your account depends entirely on your bank or card issuer.
